On the way home from school, 12-year-old Iko and his friends stumble upon a blind, old busker. In the face of peer pressure, Iko decides to steal from him. But when his misdeed is reciprocated with kindness, will he change for the better?

Story Logline:
In the 1960s, Phuket, a 16-year old girl named Somchai is forced to drop out of school by her abusive mother to support the family financially after her alcoholic dad left them for a wealthy lady. Weeks have passed, she continues her daily life, struggling to earn money for a living, looking after her sister with dyslexia, and enduring her mother's physical abuse. While taking care of her sister, she realises she wants to be a teacher, until one day her life changed once again.
Children's Storybook: Curly's Curls
Curly's Curls was produced in collaboration with Ava Tan from DTVM during our first year, and together we pitched the idea to an Executive Editor from Penguin Random House at the Asian Festival of Children Content 2019.
